Airport Passengers is a jazz fusion band founded by the saxophonist Tiziano Matera and the guitarist Andrea Gentili.
It was born in 2015 and it will offer original compositions from the idea of an instrumental music that goes to the most varied stylistic experiences: from Modern Jazz to Funk, reaching Rock, Blues and Latin jazz.
An artistic journey who intends to give priority to the writing and the arranging, leaving an important space to improvisation like the jazz tradition wants.
We will try to reach an elegant and refined sound for the sensitivity of listeners with different tastes and expectations. Composing techniques, arrangements and timbre settings are always different and surprising.
The artistic purpose of the Airport Passengers is to create a sound between the main stylistic trends of the modern musical world and what has been written in the past by groups like “Weater Report”, “Steps Ahead” ” Brecker Brothers”.
